Blessed for They Will be Filled

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
  Matthew   5:6
Whoever has, more will be given
“Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.””
  Luke   8:18
Your father in heaven will give good gifts
“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
  Matthew   7:11
Didn’t I command you be strong and very courageous?
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.””
  Joshua   1:9
It’s a simple formula- the humble ones, they can receive. They understand they need. The arrogant ones are too overflowing with whatever they deem as important to even recognize they need.
Our lord spoke parables to people for many reasons- not just because he could tell a great story, but it’s actually said in the Bible that he had to speak them for the spirituality closed off ones. He lowered his explanation level to parables because they were so closed off that this was the only way, yet for many, it wasn’t  even enough. But the disciples had the secrets of the knowledge of God given to them. Why? Because When the spirit brought these secrets to them, they received it.
Who receives a gift? Someone who appreciates it, someone who is thankful. Who gives it? Someone who loves. Even us sinners give gifts though our love be tainted, but the perfect one, the good good father, he gives. But are we asking?
Do we acknowledge our lack and acknowledge his love? Ok, and if we do answer yes to those two questions, what should we ask for? One day I should just cover all of the acceptable things a Christian should ask for, but the reality is, know that God won’t give it if it’s going to hurt you.
The daily bread, it’s fine. Ask for it. But in this spiritual battle we face with our sinful habits and with Satan trying to stop us from growing and bringing more people to Christ,  pray that the  word truly be the bread most desired by you. Pray that indeed you are strengthened and encouraged by it to face and endure the day, and that you persevere through what comes your way.
Joshua, the savior, he and Israel were so dominant in battle because he trusted in those words God said. Jesus, the true savior was the same way. We must be strong in trust so we can unite well and be used amazingly in God’s ways. If we are. Many will be saved. Many will realized God’s love. At the end of the day, love, salvation, it’s the reason why we’re alive with eternal life, it’s the reason why we do any of this.
