Melvin’s testimony on New Orleans short term mission During my visit to New Orleans

I was excited to return home to see my family, friends and even the city. It was very encouraging for me during the first day I began to evangelize. I saw many people who I knew and friends aswell. it really helped me continue to evangelize with strength.

My time there was great I evangelized almost every day and I met with the committed member Ronnie. There we shared grace and had fellowship and bible study. When I went out to Evangelize I decided to go to new Locations and parks I never evangelized in before. I met a couple of people who I had managed to pray for. Even though they were not able to attend bible studies, it felt really great to pray for them and other people as I evangelized.

I was thankful and glad to be helpful to anyone who was willing to receive bible studies and prayer. I think I gained a lot of power and strength from this visit to be more bold and to step out and try to reach God people. As I was In New Orleans I connected with Atlanta for Friday Prayer meetings to receive prayer and grace. I also visited my Mother church for a Sunday service it was great the sermon was about edification and helping others.

My original plan was to stay for two weeks and then return to Atlanta, but I was encouraged by my family to stay longer for Thanks Giving and I was glad I chose to stay a little longer. It was a great deal for me to see my family gather for Thanks Giving and I received grace from them and strength. I was a little shocked from their support for me and my original mission upon coming to New Orleans it was really heartwarming to hear family members support my walk in God.
