On November 29th, Church campus ministry and YEF GSU held its last group study with a guest speaker, potluck and games. The events began with Dr Kennedy, the club advisor, speaking to the students about giving their trust to God and following their destinies in God. he started by asking the students how they came to know what they were destined to do and what they were destined to study in school. He went on explaining to them that there’s a difference between there want for their lives and God’s will for their lives. He explain these things by giving the participants examples in his own life. He encouraged the students to look for their destiny in God and as long as you get up every morning and try to be the best person you can be in that day, then this is all that’s needed.

After his speech, on the behalf of YEF, the YEF Atlanta Regional leader, the President of YEF GSU and the Vice President of YEF GSU, thanked the professor with a gift for all of his help with the fellowship and for his presence on campus.

The group shared in food and fellowship afterwards and played games together. By the time it was time to go, there were many who didn’t want to leave. A total of 14 students came to this event, with three new students joining.

One sister expressed her thanks for YEF, “I’m so glad that I found you guys. You’re just so nice and so welcoming. I really feel like I’m with family when I’m with you guys. I’ll miss you all until next semester comes!”

This event concludes the activities of YEF GSU this semester. The school year began in 2018 with YEF not even being an official club on campus. And now, the fellowship has people who can’t wait to begin a new semester together in God. YEF GSU and YEF Atlanta pray for the students and for this campus. That next semester will see even more of God’s grace and spirit working within the hearts of everyone who steps foot on this campus.
